Caroline County Department of Fire and Rescue is currently accepting applicaitons for the position of EMT/Firefighter (full time).


Fire and Rescue EMT/Firefighter (Full Time) - posted 4/28/17


This position is responsible for emergency medical service work responding to a variety of injuries and illnesses, fire prevention, and suppression.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Possession at all times of a valid, Virginia driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Currently hold and maintain certification or equivalent in the following:
Basic Cardiac Life Support (Health Care Provider CPR)
EVOC Class III
Virginia Emergency Medical Technician
Virginia Department of Fire Programs Firefighter II


The following certifications must be attained within the specific time frame of the assignment and maintained throughout employment:

Within 1 year in assigned job position:
Virginia Department of Fire Programs Basic Pump Operator or Driver Pump Operator
Virginia Department of Fire Programs Rural Water Supply
ICS 100, 200, 700, 800
